You can get your car washed by a Vancouver Whitecaps player today

You might not ever get rich, but let me tell you, it’s better than digging a ditch.

Those are the lyrics to the 1976 hit song “Car Wash” by Rose Royce, but it’s also what a few members of the Vancouver Whitecaps might be saying to themselves on Thursday, between 3 and 6 pm.

Players will soap up your ride, in support of the Whitecaps’ fifth-annual #BuckUp for Mental Health fundraising campaign.

The car wash will be taking place at LivingStar Auto Detailing, located at 1248 Seymour Street in Downtown Vancouver. All funds raised support mental health programs for homeless and at-risk youth at Covenant House Vancouver, which is located right next door.

The cost is by donation, although if you contribute $50, you’ll receive a $50 Chevron gift certificate (while quantities last).
