The Whistler Village Beer Festival is back and better than ever before.

This year’s event will play host to about 60 breweries – offering a total of more than 120 beers begging to be sampled by you and your friends. That’s not to mention the festival’s beautiful Whistler backdrop as you enjoy yourself amidst the mountains, sunshine, live music, and of course, some amazing brewskies.

Presented-By-Whistler

Taking place from September 14 to September 18 in Whistler Village, this year’s Whistler Vilage Beer Festival anticipates surpassing last year’s crowd of 6000 people. You’ll get to taste multiple cold ones sourced from the best breweries in BC and the Pacific Northwest at the tail end of summer.

We’ve put together a list of activities you can look forward to at this year’s Whistler Beer Fest starting on September 14.

Tastings

In case you’re not convinced, we’ll say it again – you’ll be sampling beer from more than 60 breweries which means more than 120 kinds altogether. In addition there will be 6 cideries residing on the Cider Street footprint of WVBF, this means a multitude of delicious ciders to sample as well. What makes this even better is that you’ll experience it all in the giant outdoor amphitheatre surrounded by lush green grass and of course, all your friends. This year you’ll also see more cider products for a wider selection.

Celebrate all day, all night

If you’re expecting incredible live music then you’re spot on, only this year the bar’s been set even higher. Bar Hop Whistler will lead a guided celebration tour to give you a great taste of Whistler’s rambunctious night life. You’ll get to visit Longhorn, Buffalo Bills, Garfinkel’s and more with five drinks included with your ticket. Chow down on some tasty bar snacks between your dance moves to keep you fuelled up for the whole night.

Of course, there’s nothing like some music to get you in the beer sipping mood while you hang out at the Olympic Plaza amphitheatre. Expect a great lineup of bands including Neverland Nights, Ruckus Deluxe, Red Chair, and more.

Cask Nights

As if you needed an excuse to bring your friends, these cask nights require lots of teamwork. There’s nothing like the first (or second, or hundredth) sample out of a cask. Discover intriguing nuances in cask brews from many participating brands and do your part to help finish them off.

Another great way to learn more about the craft of brewing includes the festival’s seminars that are beneficial to beginners and seasoned pros alike. Watch experts chat about everything from the fermentation process to resulting aromas. Extend your stay with moderate rooms from only $99 per night.

Foodie experiences

Barley & the Beast is back for its third annual appearance on September 16 from 6 to 9 pm. Gorge on a five course dinner of locally sourced ingredients. The best part? They’ll pair well with provided local craft beers so remember to wear your stretchy pants. This one always sells out – make sure to get your tickets while you still can.

The Whistler Village Beer Festival returns September 14 to 18 with five days of tastings, pairings, and events centred around craft beer. The event is all about local, craft, culinary, pairing, and infusion. Invite your friends to make the epic festival a yearly tradition.
