17 places to watch Super Bowl LI in Vancouver
Get ready, Vancouver, it’s almost time to watch the biggest game of the year.
Super Bowl LI (51) is happening on Sunday, February 5, and that means it’s time to cozy up in your favourite sports bars, old and new, and watch the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Maybe you’re a Tom Brady superfan counting down the minutes until kick-off, or perhaps you’ve never even picked up the ol’ pigskin before – either way, this is one epic Sunday Funday that’s always exciting to take part in.

The American is hosting a Super Bowl party with a special package for $200 which includes a reserved table, six dirty burgers, six plates of fries, a box of crispy chicken skin, and 18 cans of Good Company Lager. Head here from noon to 9 pm to get into the Super Bowl spirit with trivia and prizes.

2. The Blarney Stone
The Blarney Stone is showing the game on their 240-inch big screen, and throwing a massive Super Bowl party to celebrate. Advanced tickets are $25 each and include a Pig Roast Dinner (or choose an item off the Game Day Menu), two pints of Molson, guaranteed seating, squares and Sports Trivia, and the chance to win prizes and jerseys. 3. The Cascade Room

For Super Bowl Sunday The Cascade Room will be showing the game on its big screens and offering a happy hour from 3 to 6pm with food and drink specials including chili cheese fries and BBQ wings.

4. Cinema Public House
Located in the Granville Entertainment District, Cinema Public House will be screening the Super Bowl on its 20 HD screens. This pub will be offering a pre-game Happy Hour from 11 am to 3 pm, along with $5 local beers and caesars all day long. Additionally, Cinema will be running contests throughout the game and giving away NFL jerseys and a grand prize PS4.

5. The Bimini
The Bimini in Kits got a renovation just in time for game day. Updates include a 195-inch HD screen to watch the game. This spot will also have drink features during the game along with the chance for one lucky guest to win “Beer For A Year” at halftime.

6. Cambie Bar & Grill
All you need is a Cambie Platter and a drink to be set for the big game. The Cambie is a solid place to head with friends to watch the game and grab cheap drinks. This spot has 13 HD TVs.

7. Colony Main Street / Colony Kits
Colony Main St and Colony Kits are throwing viewing parties for Super Bowl LI. The locations are both holding a pre-game Tecmo Bowl Tournaments on a Nintendo NES classic. The winner of the tournament will receive the original old school Nintendo system as a prize. There will be raffles draws and a game of Super Bowl Squares at both spots.

8. The Butcher & Bullock
Head to the Financial District to chill out at The Butcher & Bullock for the game. The English pub will be showing the Super Bowl on their 202-inch HD screen and offering $5 beer all day. For Super Bowl Sunday Timber is offering brunch until 3pm, along with a plethora of game day specials. These features include buffalo wings and a BC Genuine Lager can for $10, a smoked pulled pork roll with rye bbq sauce and fried onions for $12. For drinks Timber is serving BC Genuine Lager cans for $4 and Les Dames white or red wine for $7 a glass all day long (along with the restaurant’s regular happy hour).

17. The Yale Saloon
The Yale Saloon is may be a country bar and BBQ, but this joint is throwing a Super Bowl Sunday party with southern spice. Watch the game on the 11 big screens and an HD projector with surround sound. If you’re not into the game there’s pool, darts, a game day favourites menu, and drink specials to capture your interest. Anyone who heads here on February 5 can expect football-themed games, prizes, and even a halftime bull riding competition. Drink specials include Jager for $5.25, Pilsner on tap for $5.25, and $20 buckets (5 bottles) of Budweiser.
