As if your trip to the happiest place on earth couldn’t get any more exciting, now you have the chance to travel there in the coolest fashion possible: on a Frozen-themed plane courtesy of WestJet.
The Calgary-based airline announced the exciting new addition to their fleet on Sunday, accompanying the popular #MagicPlane they partnered with Disney to create in 2013. All the popular characters from the highest-grossing animated film of all time, like Elsa, Anna and Olaf, decorate the plane’s exterior and interior; following a theme that goes from warm to cool down the length of the fuselage.
WestJet Vacations, WestJet and The Walt Disney Company, Parks & Resorts joined efforts to design and implement the truly magical plane, including decals and headrest covers on each seat alongside 54 different overhead bin doors, and of course, a brightly coloured (and sparkly) exterior. Passengers will also be treated with a selection of on-demand Disney movies while aboard.
“This aircraft takes the relationship between WestJet and Disney to a completely new level of cool,” said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Commercial during the company’s Sunday afternoon announcement.
“Two years ago, we launched the #MagicPlane, our first Disney-themed aircraft, and no matter where it flies throughout our network, it is the most-anticipated and most-photographed aircraft in WestJet history. Today, we are proud to team up with our great friends at Disney to create a sequel like no other.”
The #DisneyFrozenThemedPlane will fly to Orlando and all of WestJet’s other 737-jet routes.
