He’s the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history, and now, “Weird Al” Yankovic is coming to Vancouver next summer, as part of his just-announced Strings Attached Tour.

Billed as a “high-energy, rock and comedy show featuring costumes, props, a video wall, and – for the first time – a full orchestra,” the comedic spectacle will hit the stage at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Best known for his hilariously irreverent parodies of hit songs, including “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Amish Paradise,” “White & Nerdy,” and “Tacky,” the musician has said of this upcoming tour: “We’re pulling out all the stops for this one.
I wanted to follow up my most bare-bones tour ever with my most elaborate and extravagant tour ever.”

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10 am, through LiveNation.

When: August 19, 1019

Time: Doors open at 7 pm, show begins at 8 pm
