Just in time for this summer’s largest outdoor festivities, residents of B.C.’s South Coast can expect a week of sunny, warm weather.

Temperatures by the water in Vancouver will hit 25°C, while inland areas should reach 30°C.

This coincides with next weekend’s Vancouver Pride Parade, which will attract 650,000 people to the streets of downtown Vancouver, and the remaining two days of the Celebration of Light.

The long-term forecast indicates that these conditions could remain well into next week due to a large high pressure system that is pushing moisture systems towards northern B.C. However, for the southern B.C., the forest fire risk is expected to increase greatly.
