McGregor vs Mayweather. Champion vs Champion. The fight that movies are based on dreams are made of.

But paying almost $100 for a pay-per-view fight?

That’s money better spent on a meal and few pints at the bar… where you can post up and watch the August 26 bout for a much more reasonable fee.

Here’s a few places where you can do just that around Vancouver—just make sure to get there somewhat early for prime seats.

The Blarney Stone

With early bird tickets available for just $15 and a 240-inch screen, the Blarney Stone is an attractive place to be come August 26. There’s no hiding who they’re going to be cheering for: A McGregor tribute is taking place at 3 pm, and a complementary beer is available for anyone who arrives before 5 pm.

The Bimini

Watch the game while enjoying the Bimini’s $4 beers (that’s “all day, every day, forever” $4 beers). While you can purchase tickets online for $20, the bar still works on a first-come first-served basis, so your best bet is to get there early.

The Sports Bar at Rogers Arena will be airing McGregor and Mayweather going at it, and though it may not be quite as thrilling as a live Canucks game from the stands—there’s that Vancouver bias—it’s still sure to be a great event viewed on their many TVs.

The Pint

The tickets for the Pint’s showing of the fight are a little more expensive at $30 for early bird and $40 at the door BUT they do get you reservations at a table. So, for whoever truly believes that “time is money” and can’t make it there early to secure a seat, this is probably your best bet.

Back and Forth Bar

Watch the fight while playing some ping pong! The Back and Forth Bar is airing the fight live, and is only charging $15 admission. Use that spare cash on a few of their $5 beers, or to bet on a few games of table tennis.
