Experience just one of the challenges faced by the homeless population of Vancouver at Coldest Night of the Year Vancouver 2016.

Coldest Night of the Year is an annual 2K, 5K, and 10K walk in support of hundreds of charities lending aid to those in need. Now in its second year in Vancouver, those involved complete a walk during a chilly winter night, exposed to the conditions like those living on the street are exposed to every night of the winter.

Last year’s event raised millions of dollars from teams across North America, and this year there are two events are taking place in the city – one starting at the First United Church Community Ministry Society in the Downtown Eastside, and another at the CityReach Care Society.

To take part in the event, or to register your team, head over to the Coldest Night of the Year website.
