Wake up to The Kid Carson Show on SONiC

By DH Vancouver Staff, DH Vancouver Staff Sep 04, 2012 10:19 am

Today, Rogers Radio station SONiC (107.5 FM in Chilliwack, 92.5 FM in Abbotsford, 104.9 FM on Vancouver) launched its highly anticipated new morning show, The Kid Carson Show. At the helm is one of Vancouver’s most popular radio hosts, Kid Carson, along with co-hosts Randi Chase, Chelsea Hobbis, and Andrew Sosa (a.k.a. Andrew the Intern).

“Kid Carson is one of Vancouver’s most dynamic and favourite radio hosts, so it was a natural fit for us to bring him onboard to the SONiC family,” said Murray Brookshaw, Program Director, SONiC. “The Kid Carson Show will offer listeners a bold, distinctive group of on-air hosts sure to ignite a new energy on the radio.”

No stranger to Vancouver radio listeners, Carson comes to SONiC with a lengthy radio career under his belt. Formerly, Carson hosted the morning show on The Beat 94.5 for the past seven years, prior to an on-air position at Z95. Carson hails from Toronto, where he worked on-air at Rogers Radio station KiSS 92.5, but has called Vancouver home for the past eight years.

“I’m eager to get behind the microphone on a brand new show with three incredibly talented co-hosts,” said Kid Carson. “The four of us have a great dynamic that will keep the show fresh and
engaging every morning.”

The Kid Carson Show can be heard weekday mornings from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.on SONiC. The new radio show will kick-start the morning with the hottest hits, and unscripted and interactive conversations on the latest music, news, and gossip.

Earlier this year we posted a video of Kid Carson saving a man’s life. Check it out here: http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2012/06/kid-carson-hero-car-accident/

Not only a good radio host, but a good samaritan.
