Volunteer for your passion by checking out this epic fair

Volunteering and Beyond is one of the largest volunteer fairs of its kind held in the Lower Mainland.

This year the event is taking place on September 21 at North Surrey Secondary School from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Over 55 organizations will come together to setup booths and interact with attendees about various volunteer opportunities. Several prominent community organizations such as the City of Surrey, Canadian Cancer Society, YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and more will be attending. For a full list of attending organizations, you can click here.

The Youth Transforming Society initiated this event in 2014 to generate interest in community service amongst youth and simplify the application process. Students are provided with a diverse range of involvement opportunities, increasing the likelihood of finding an organization (or many) that aligns with their interests and passions.

This event allows both students and parents to ask questions about an organization’s mission, goals, and volunteer opportunities directly to the organization’s representatives. The hope is that after attending Volunteering and Beyond, students will feel less overwhelmed and more inspired to volunteer.

There is no cost to attend this event. Please direct any questions and concerns to [email protected].
