Vans Pro Skate Park Series Friday qualifiers open to public
Open to the public this Friday, July 8 is the Vans Pro Skate Park Series Vancouver qualifiers taking place at the infamous Hastings Skatepark.
With the Semifinals and Finals set to go down on Saturday, Friday will see all registered skaters including Vans riders Curren Caples and Pedro Barros, alongside local talents Adam Hopkins and James Clarke; competing to qualify for their chance to move on to the park terrain World Championships in Malmö, Sweden on August 20.

With this event, the Vans Pro Skate Park Series will be establishing the premier global points ranking system for men’s and women’s park terrain skateboarding as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) continues to inch closer to endorsing skateboarding for inclusion in the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo.
Alongside the action-packed skate competition, there will be free BBQ hot dogs up for grabs, a live performance by Ray Barbee, and a free movie screening to wrap up the end of the night with popcorn to boot.
