Last week, we told you about Vancouver’s cheapest house that wasn’t a tear down. It was listed for under $600,000, something you don’t see in a city where a regular detached home sells for over a million dollars.
Located at 2622 Clark Drive, the house sold for $643,000, over 7 per cent higher than the original asking price of $599,000.
With a price like that, a bidding war was inevitable.
The 1,951 square foot, two-storey home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms is an outlier given that it has an asking price of only $599,000.
Built in 1911, the house was remodelled before its previous owners occupied the home in 2005, when they purchased it for $333,000. The interior and exterior, including electrical, plumbing, floors and kitchen, were all completely renovated and a new roof was installed just four years ago. An open air deck was also added, expanding the structure’s area by 600 square feet.
Don’t expect to see many more houses listed under $600,000 in the City of Vancouver.
