Many of Metro Vancouver’s farmers’ markets continue to run right into the winter season, bringing us joy all year round. If you can grow it, make it, or bake it – you can get it at these markets.
Nat Bailey Farmers’ Market
Head to the Nat Bailey Stadium this winter to find locally grown vegetables and fruit, meat, seafood, artisan cheese, bread, herbs, baked goods, prepared foods, and artisanal crafts. Once it gets colder you can expect to see food trucks (especially during Food Truck February), hot drink vendors, covered seating and warming stations, and live music.
Day/Time: Saturdays from 10am to 2pm

Cannery Farmers’ Market
The Cannery Farmers’ Market has products from local food producers and artisans who follow a “Make it, Bake it, Grow it, Catch it” philosophy. BC-produced vegetables, fruits, and meats are the central draw to this market, but there is also entertainment and guided tours of the heritage site (pay by donation).
Day/Time: Sundays from 10am to 3pm

Granville Island Public Market
A year-long event full of colourful stalls that showcase unique, homemade products and the “finest in gastronomic delights”. From the ocean, oven, or field – Granville Market’s got it all.
Day/Time: Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm

Hastings Park Farmers’ Market
Located between the Forum and the Agrodome, Hastings Market boasts a wide selection of local produce, fish, meat, dairy, artisan prepared foods, crafts, baking, and food trucks. The month of February is Food Truck Fest, something that occurs at both Hasting’s and Nat Bailey Farmers’ Markets.

White Rock Farmers’ Market
White Rock’s fall and winter market has over 40 indoor and outdoor vendors, making it one of the biggest in BC. This event is packed with vendors old and new, so you’re bound to have an exciting time if you check it out.

Il Mercato Italian Market
On November 25 Il Mercato will wrap up its market season with an indoor Christmas themed market. This market is packed with quality local products that incorporate Italian flavours, so it’s easy to bring home a taste of Italy after your visit.
