There have been two overnight stabbings on the entertainment district in downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver Police Media Officer Staff Sergeant Randy Fincham told Daily Hive that officers were first called to the scene at 1050 Granville Street just before 3 am. Upon arriving at the scene, they found an elderly man with multiple stab wounds, and he was taken to hospital and remains in stable condition.

Shortly after, police who were in the area responding to the incident were approached by a young man who had also been stabbed. He was treated in hospital and released a short time later.

At this time, there have been no arrests in either case, and both incidents remain under investigation. Police have not linked the two stabbings.
