11 of the best places to buy sports apparel in Vancouver

The Toronto Blue Jays are on a winning streak, and the Vancouver Canucks are set for their season opener this weekend – so it’s time to show your support.
Vancouver has a whole host of stores selling everything from custom team jerseys to fan scarves and toques. Here’s our roundup to get you going.
Lids
- What: Lids, also known as Jersey City or Game On, has stores all over Metro Vancouver, specializing in sports headwear, jerseys, accessories, and novelties. Most stores also offer custom embroidery of your favourite player name.
- Where: 681 Robson Street in downtown Vancouver, or head out to Metrotown in Burnaby, Tsawwassen Mills in Delta, or the Richmond Centre, for starters

Sport Chek
- What: Sport Chek is the largest national retailer of sporting goods, footwear and apparel in Canada and it shows. You can pick up pretty much any jersey, fan wear or other gear in their stores, or order online.
- Where: 788 Robson Street in downtown Vancouver, 18 West Broadway in Mount Pleasant, or try Park Royal on the North Shore

Canucks Team Store
- What: This store’s tagline has long been “Where the players shop!” We doubt that, but with two levels and 3,800 square feet, it does have everything on your Canucks fan must have list. Custom jersey names and numbers available.
- Where: Gate 6 at Rogers Arena – 800 Griffiths Way, Vancouver
- When: Monday to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday noon to 5 pm
VancitySports
- What: VancitySports has been serving the local Vancouver and Lower Mainland market for the past 20 years, and you’ll be able to find a huge range of Canucks and Blue Jays gear here for sure. Custom jersey names and numbers available.
- Where: 646 Seymour Street, Vancouver
- When: Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, closed Sunday and holidays
Granville Sports Corner
- What: Granville Sports Corner is another downtown store worth hitting up if you’re in the area. It may be tiny, but the owner is helpful and it’s crammed full of jerseys. The store doesn’t have a website, but you can contact them on 604-681-0511.

Robson Sports
- What: For such a small store, Robson Sports has a huge collection of apparel, sports jerseys and hats for NHL, NFL, CFL, MLB, NBA and MLS, including much desired Vancouver Millionaires caps and of course, post season Blue Jays caps.
- Where: 856 Granville Street, Vancouver
- When: Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm, Sunday from noon to 5 pm
Town & City Enterprises
- What: It’s easy to miss this small sporting goods store nestled along Hornby Street, which is well known for its cheap prices and friendly staff. The store has no website, but you can contact them at 604-684-1835.

- When: Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, closed on Sunday
The Sport Gallery
- What: This sports store is a little different, aimed at “those who love the art of sport.” A great place to go if you’re looking for vintage-inspired apparel, such as a Blue Jays skyline jacket or a Vancouver Millionaires heritage backstop cap.

Cyclone Taylor Sports
Legendary hockey player Fred “Cyclone” Taylor (Cyclone Taylor Sports)
