Empty Shaughnessy mansion fire deemed suspicious

A fire at an empty mansion in Vancouver’s wealthy Shaughnessy neighbourhood on Sunday is under investigation by police.

According to a release, police officers and firefighters responded to the fire near Angus Drive and Matthews Avenue just before 2:30 am on Sunday morning.

No was injured, say police, but investigators have determined the fire was suspicious, and are currently gathering evidence to determine the cause.
