Vancouver Police offering $10,000 for information on teen murder

The Vancouver Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest or conviction of the person responsible for the murder of a 15-year-old boy.

In the afternoon of July 26 of last year, Jason Nguyen walked into his sister’s bedroom in their family home covered in blood and collapsed on the floor. He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but didn’t survive.

The VPD say they’re still looking for the person involved in his murder and are investigating the circumstances. For something like this to happen to Nguyen was out of character.

“Jason Nguyen was a good brother and son, and was not believed to be involved with crime; he truly was an innocent child,” reads a release from the VPD.

Police say he might have been targeted because of someone he may have known.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Vancouver Police at 604-717-2500, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
