If you’re in the market for some jewellery, a new bike, golf equipment, or instruments the annual Vancouver Police auction may just have what you want.
The annual event takes place on April 28 and sells goods recovered by the VPD which have gone unclaimed for the past six months. The items are auctioned off for a fraction of their original value.
Thie year the auction will feature over 80 pieces of high-end jewellery. Items range from gold bangles to engagement rings to Swarovski crystal necklaces.
Some notable items include a 14-karat white gold diamond dress ring set worth more than $12,000, a variety of natural gems, and multiple Jade carvings.
The auction is also known for its high-end bikes and this year is no exception. More than 300 top-of-the-line bikes will be auctioned off. This includes mountain, downhill, racing bikes and retro cruisers.
Other items to look out for this year are an impressive array of musical instruments ranging from a Fender electric guitar to a wood violin; and an assortment of men and women’s designer clothes and accessories, including a Victoria Beckham blouse worth upwards of $15,000.
There will be public previews of the available items on Thursday, April 26, and Friday, April 27 from noon to 6 pm.
The auction itself takes place on Saturday, April 28, from 9 am to 4 pm (doors open at 8 am, bikes will be auctioned off first).
