Vancouver Police have arrested three people in connection with a $100,000 liquor theft.

In mid-April 2018, the VPD was contacted by the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) about an internal theft investigation.

Detectives from the VPD Property Crime Unit worked with LDB to collect evidence. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at a home in Delta on May 15 where over $100,000 in alcohol was recovered.

Three people — two from Surrey and one from Delta — were arrested in relation to the theft. One of the suspects was an employee at LDB.

The suspects were later released pending further investigation. VPD says the investigation remains active and officers are continuing to work with LDB to determine evidence of additional offences.
