Taller than Rockefeller: Vancouver's official Christmas Tree is being lit this month

Vancouver’s downtown core will be shining bright this holiday season thanks to the lighting of the city’s official Christmas tree.

This year’s giant tree towers 76-feet tall –which is four feet taller than New York City’s famed Rockefeller Centre Christmas tree. 

Vancouver’s tree will be lit on Friday, November 30 at Robson Square. There will also be live entertainment, music, free cookies and hot chocolate. And of course, Santa and his elves will be there too.
