If there’s any truth to that old saying “How you spend New Year’s Eve is how you’ll spend the rest of your year,” then we’ll all be very full and incredibly happy ringing in 2017 any one of these establishments.

Here are 22 Vancouver restaurants serving stellar NYE dinners.

Chef Dan McGee’s French-inspired New Year’s Eve menu includes bavarois de panais to start, a choice of bloc de foie gras, ballotine de saumon fumé, and velouté de cépes et topinambours for the second course, and for the third course a choice of le black cod, faisan rôti, and tournedos Rossini. To finish this NYE dinner guests will be served a déclinaison autour du chocolat for dessert.

2. Bauhaus

Chef Stefan Hartmann New Year’s Eve menu features five courses which include trout, mushroom consommé, turbot, beef tenderloin, and chocolate. A vegetarian option can also be requested for this celebratory meal.

3. Chambar

Chambar’s New Year’s celebration will have a ton of food and music all night long. Expect a DJ and live music to go with your oysters. This party is promised to be “an infamous evening of civilized debauchery,” so be sure to secure your spot on the dance floor after you eat.

4. YEW seafood + bar

YEW is offering two seatings for patrons looking to taste their stellar seafood menu on NYE. The menus for both seatings feature a variety of dishes such as lobster brioche, roasted sablefish, and smoked lobster. The late seating will also feature live music from local spinner DJ Leanne, percussionist Pher, and sax player Caley Honeywell.

Joe Fortes is having a New Year’s bash that will take place in their dining room and the famous heated upstairs patio. Executive Chef Wayne Sych has created a NYE menu featuring specials like the West Coast platter, the shellfish trio of Atlantic lobster, jumbo scallops, and prawns, and the savoury prim rib to name a few.

While the late seating at Joe Fortes is sold out, reservations for the early seating can be made by calling 604-669-1940.

6. Terroir Kitchen

Terroir’s NYE menu features local oysters, Dungeness crab, burrata, risotto, 45 day aged strip loin, scallops, and chocolate fondant. A complimentary glass of bubbly will be provided at midnight for guest, and vegetarian meal options available upon request.

8. Market by Jean-Georges

Head to this restaurant located in the Shangri-La and enjoy a seven-course menu. The NYE dinner here will feature sunchoke soup, seared foie gras, squid ink risotto, blood orange granite, seared sablefish, Canadian prime beef tenderloin, and strawberry champagne cheesecake mousse. This dinner also includes glass of champagne and live entertainment.

9. The Farmer’s Apprentice

Chef David Gunawan has created two menus to celebrate the New Year — Omnivore or Herbivore. During the early 5:30 pm seating guests will enjoy a six-course menu, while their late seating at 8 pm will offer a seven-course menu. The Omnivore menu features heritage lamb, albacore tuna tataki, and potato ice cream, while the Herbivore feast with feature Jerusalem artichokes and ancient grain risotto.

Boulevard is offering a NYE menu that features seasonal favourites such as local pine mushroom consommé, soft poached side stripe shrimp with butternut squash, housemade bucatini with butter poached lobster, and salted sesame bar with caramel ice cream. Guests can choose between three-course early seatings from 5 to 7 pm featuring live jazz from the Jennifer Scott Trio, or four-course late seatings from 8 to 10 pm featuring a countdown to midnight, party favour, and entertainment from GirlOnWax’s DJ Colette Trudeau.

Juniper’s NYE menu features choices for each of the three courses. Choose between elk, salmon, and winter mushrooms for the first course, bison short rib, ryeberry risotto, and smoked confit duck for the second, and for the third, a chocolate charcuterie board, flourless hazelnut tarte, and sea buckthorn crème posette.

13. Mamie Taylor’s

This Southern-infused spot is throwing a NYE dinner bash like no other; get tickets to Mamie’s Low Country NYE Pig Roast and you surely wont be disappointed. Along with an open bar and a buffet pig roast, diners can expect cheddar biscuits, devilled eggs, housemade pickles, and apple pie for dessert.

14. Cibo Trattoria

Cibo is offering and early and a late seating for their NYE dinner. The early seating menu features a four-course dinner with duck liver terrine, raviolo of smoked ricotta, prosciutto wrapped rabbit loin, and champagne granita, while the late seating’s six-course menu sees the additions of tagliolini and a chocolate torte.

Chef Alessandro Vianello has created a NYE menu which features a starter of shucked oysters, followed by several course options like lobster salad, Magret duck breast, and Heritage rib eye certified angus beef. Guests can choose between chocolate cake with crunchy milk chocolate or hazelnut sponge cake for dessert. Seatings at Wildebeest are available throughout the evening and at midnight there will be a toast and celebration until 1 am.

16. Homer St. Cafe and Bar

Homer St. is serving up a four-course meal on NYE that includes a snack, choice of starter, a main, a dessert, and a take-home snack upon your departure. Featured items will include Bison terrine, roasted beets, and smoked duck. Main course options include a braised beef and rotisserie tenderloin, marinated lamb, bass and squash ravioli, and wild mushroom and leek risotto. The dessert course features a black forest trifle or a spiced poached pear with butter sponge cake. The special cocktail will be a unique twist on the classic French 75 made with gin, lemon juice, and pomegranate rosemary vanilla syrup.

Tableau is offering a four-course dinner where guests have two options for each course. This set menu features Quebec foie gras torchon or a Poisson Cru for the first course, a PEI scallop and perigord truffle or apple braised Fraser Valley pork belly for the second course, and for the third seared Mediterranean Seabream and AAA Canadian beef tenderloin and braised cheek are available. For dessert diners can feast on a dark chocolate tart or an asiette de fromage.

19. La Mezcaleria (Gastown)

This spot is hosting two seatings for New Years at its Gastown location. The four-course dinner at La Mezcaleria will feature truffled cream of zucchini with pumpkin flour crisps, coconut breaded prawns with pineapple pico de gallo, roasted pork rib cutlet, and orange blossom crème brûlée for dessert. Along with the set dinner menu, guests can order these items à la carte or choose dishes off of the regular Gastown menu.

NYE is one of the only nights of the year that The Acorn accepts full reservations, so be sure to get a place for the restaurant’s three-course prix fix menu dinner. There is also an option for wine pairings for this dinner at an additional charge.
