My city, my city! It’s going bonanza on Twitter right now of Vancouver being named the 2011 Most Livable City in the World! It’s true, Vancouver re-claims top spot with a score of 98% for livability.
The study was conducted by the highly-respected Economist Intelligence Unit. Criteria included environment, health care, culture, and infrastructure. The top 10 includes Canadian cities Toronto at #4 and Calgary at #5.
Mayor Gregor is doing a great job on the environment-front, costly but needed. Health care is pretty good by world standards. The Olympics were a further boon last year strengthening our infrastructure and showcasing our party animal spirit. And we still have much more room to improve in all these areas.
