Simone Kingman was born and raised in West Vancouver. As much as she loves her hometown, she strives to see most of the world first hand. After ending her carrier as a professional contemporary ballet dancer in 2012 in London, England, she decided to move back to Vancouver and find a new dream. That new path took her down the road of modelling and acting.
“I love being in front of a camera and on stage, I can’t imagine my life with out one or the other.” She says. She is a character always looking for more and in 2014 she found her self working at LeslieJane, a beautiful womens fashion boutique in West Vancouver. Working with such exquisite clothing it took no time for her to realize that fashion is in her DNA.
Not only does she love supporting small businesses, she also gets to teach women about natural fabrics and how dressing your personality can make a difference. After a year working at LeslieJane she packed her suitcase and went to Australia to learn more about the fashion world down under. “What a year, I am so privileged to be able to travel and work in a field that I love.” She says. Australia gave her a new prospective for design and style.
After a year living abroad, it was time for her to return home. She is now back at LeslieJane working in store and as their fashion buyer. She also helps as their event coordinator and models for them occasionally. “I’ve been back for a month now and I’ve never been happier. Travelling is so important to me and I’m lucky I’ve picked a carrier that can allow me to explore this beautiful world that we live in. ”
