UPDATE (12:27 pm): The bridge is now open Northbound, however it is still closed southbound. Motorists are advised to expect heavy delays.
Translink also advises that bus services (240,246, 250, 257) which normally travel via the bridge are being detoured via the SeaBus terminal on both sides of the inlet.
The Lions Gate Bridge is closed in both directions due to a police incident that occurred just after 11 am.
Details of the incident are still unfolding but motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
