We’re less than three months away from hockey games that matter in the Lower Mainland.

The Vancouver Giants released their 2017-18 schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The G-Men kick off their 17th season on the road in Victoria on September 22nd. Their home opener is the next night, September 23rd against those same Royals.

The 2017-18 season will mark the second consecutive campaign with the Giants playing out of their new home at the Langley Events Centre.

Vancouver’s 36 home games are weekend-heavy, with 13 games occurring on Friday, 10 on Saturday, and four on Sunday. The Giants will also play at the LEC on Mondays (2), Tuesdays (2), and Wednesdays (5).

Fans will also get a chance to see a number of players that were taken in last weekend’s NHL Draft. Six players from the WHL were taken in the first round, including Nolan Patrick (Brandon), Cody Glass (Portland), Michael Rasmussen (Tri-City), Cal Foote (Kelowna), Kailer Yamamoto (Spokane), and Henri Jokiharju (Portland).

Canucks fans will be particularly intrigued when the Kelowna Rockets come to town, as it’ll give them a chance to see Vancouver’s 33rd overall draft pick Kole Lind in action. Kelowna will make four visits to the Langley Events Centre, on November 18, November 24, January 13, and March 16.
