Gastown taxi shooting sends woman to hospital

A 29-year-old woman is in hospital after being found with gunshot wounds in a taxi in Gastown early Monday morning.

According to a Vancouver Police release, the woman, who has not been identified, was shot just before 5 am at Abbott and West Pender.

She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Although the area was initially closed to traffic, it has now been reopened. Police have taken two people of interest into custody, but the investigation is ongoing.
