If you’re looking to fill up before the weekend, you best do it sooner rather than later.
According to Dan McTeague of Gasbuddy.com, gas prices across Metro Vancouver are increasing today (Thursday) and the trend will continue into the weekend.

That trend, however, isn’t just confined to the Lower Mainland.

“The price hike to as high as 141.9 cents a litre tomorrow for Vancouver is likely to stick around for the next week, plus-or-minus a few cents,” McTeague told Daily Hive.
The reason? “Two refineries and a crucial pipeline in Washington State are out for routine maintenance,” he said.
Because Metro Vancouver relies “heavily” on US refineries, “the supply crimp is affecting us.”
With the price increase, McTeague noted Vancouver will be the most expensive place in North America to buy gas.
