If you’re anything like us, the hunger for unique and delicious food and beverage-centred events is as strong as ever. It’s a good thing Vancouver always delivers them in excess.

Disco Dumplings at Burdock & Co

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chilli sauce.

Richmond Night Market

Running from May 11 to October 8, this wildly popular event is gearing up for a 2018 season filled with epic eats and live entertainment. There will be over 100 food vendors and 200 retail stalls this year.

When: Fridays and Saturdays from May 11 to October 8 from 7 pm to midnight; Sundays and holiday Mondays 7 to 11 pm

North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market

Attendees can expect to chow down on grub from 40+ food trucks in “hot food alley” and enjoy live entertainment all summer long. The Friday Night Market will also feature a 19+ beer garden, serving local craft beer and cider as well as Betty’s Vodka Iced Tea.

Enchanted Forest Afternoon Tea

A magical new afternoon tea is coming to town next week, so get ready to step into a real-life fairytale at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The West Georgia Street hotel, known for their amazing themed afternoon tea services, just revealed their fall theme: Enchanted Forest Afternoon Tea.

Greasy Spoon Vol 43 featuring Chef Shani Cohen

The Greasy Spoon Diner features some of the best chefs in the world creating a four-course dining experience at Save On Meats. Chef Shani Cohen of Virtuous Pie will lead the 43rd Greasy Spoon. Over the past few years, Shani has made a transition from the corporate world to follow her passion for cooking. During that time, she helped open Chickpea and now works as a Sous Chef at Virtuous Pie’s flagship location on Main at Keefer.

Vancouver Ribfest 2018

Brought to you by Ribfest Canada, this group has run several successful events in Southern Ontario, and they are spreading that meat-loving party to the West Coast. Entry to this event is FREE, food and beverage can be purchased for an additional cost once you’re inside.

When: September 21 and 22 from 11 am to 9 pm and September 23 from 11 am to 7 pm

Slow Fish Dinner 2018

The 5th Annual Slow Fish Dinner at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts offers attendees a unique chance to celebrate local sustainable fish and seafood. Following a reception, during which Salmon-Safe St-Hubertus and Oak Bay Frizzante Rose wine will be served along with canapes prepared by the students, eight chefs will be serving exceptional tasting dishes in the eight kitchens at PICA.
