1. The Art of Plant-Based Cheesemaking Book Launch Party
Say (vegan) cheese! Join author Karen McAthy for an evening of celebrating the release of this foundational book. Get your own copy signed by the author and join for a fun evening of connection, celebration and plant-based cheese.

2. BETA5 Spring Pop-Up
Get ready to welcome in the sweetness of spring as local chocolatier and treat-maker BETA5 opens up their Cambie Village pop-up shop once again. They’ve added three new tea-infused flavours to their cream puff family: Mango Bubble Tea, Strawberry Jasmine, and Matcha. The pop-up shop will also soon have ice cream, ice cream sammies, and their ice cream socials.

3. Freeze Happy Hours at 77K Freeze
Dessert first! When you check out Happy Hours at 77K Freeze, you can witness desserts being created at lightning speed with liquid nitrogen. You can interact with our Scientist & Freezeologists to understand our concept, our technology & our process; while sampling a few outstanding desserts and contributing to the creative process.

4. Brothers Grimm Tea at Notch8
Notch8’s setup in their Private Dining room for their special Brothers Grimm Afternoon Tea covers all the bases, from Red Riding Hood’s basket of breads and treats to the main event: Tiers of wooden log rounds are used to hold all the delectable goodies you love at a fancy tea-time, nestled on a “dirt” floor.

5. It All Begins With Food: Cooking demo
Learn from BC-based mom-preneur Leah Garrad-Cole, founder of Love Child Organics, about great ways to get your babies and kids eating right, from the start. Garrad-Cole will demo a set of recipes from her new cookbook, It All Begins With Food. Guests receive a signed copy of the book and treats.

6. Perfect Pairings Dinner – German Wines with Asian Cuisine
YEW seafood + bar’s Executive Chef Weimar Gomez and Sommelier Adam Mayhew have teamed up with Wines of Germany to present a fun and flavourful event.

7. Wine for Waves at the Four Seasons Vancouver
The annual Wine for Waves event will feature over two dozen wineries from the Naramata Bench Wineries Association. Fourth time partner the Naramata Bench Wineries Association has partnered with the Ocean Wise program to offer guests a taste of delicious wines and small bites along with the chance to meets some of B.C.’s top winemakers. All proceeds from the event support Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program.

8. Tartine & Maple’s Eclairs & Cream Puffs – Choux Pastry basics
Learn how to make Choux a la crème (cream puff), Profiteroles, Chouquettes, and Eclairs. Guests will get to taste everything made during the class along with a savoury welcome snack and a glass of white wine. Recipes and take-home food will also be provided.

9. 2nd Annual Hop Circuit
Hop Circuit is back! Take yourself on a tour of the city’s east-side craft breweries, orchestrated by Yeast. Hop on the shuttle service provided by Vancouver Brewery Tours or walk, skate, or bike your own route. Soak up the suds with grub from the many food trucks that will be parked around the ‘hood.
