The Silver Screen Hollywood Afternoon Tea celebrates all the glitz of Old Hollywood. Think Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and John Wayne. Black and white flicks are projected on a screen at the centre of the room, but the real star is the food.

Joe Fortes’ beloved Blue Plate Bonanza is back – available now until March 21st. For two weeks, your lunch won’t be determined by the day of the week and you’ll be able to choose any one of the daily blue plate specials. Choose from Seafood Pot Pie, Thai BBQ Chicken, Panko Crusted Haddock, Crispy Fried Chicken, and West Coast Fish Cakes for just $11.95 each.

L’Abattoir Chef and Co-owner Lee Cooper will welcome Chef Lee Wolen, of Chicago’s Michelin one-starred restaurant Boka, to the line when the award-winning Gastown destination hosts the first-ever Michelin on the Road dining experience in Vancouver.

The Eastside Flea is a modern-day flea market that occurs every weekend in Vancouver. Each event hosts over 50 local vendors selling diverse goods from handmade craft items to vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles, plants, artisan eats, and more. You’ll also find food trucks, deejays, pinball machines, a pool table, outdoor courtyard, and other fun things to check out.

Head to the 5th annual Dîner en Plaid, to start the Festival du Bois’ festivities with French Canadian food, music, and craft beer. Dress code? No surprise here – all plaid everything.

UBC Sprouts, a 100% student-run, non-profit food initiative at UBC that strives to make local, organic, fair-trade foods, more accessible. Over the past two years their flagship cafe, Sprouts, has been under renovation and is set to reopen September 2018. On March 21st head to the crowdfunding launch party to kick off their fundraising efforts with a silent auction, speakers, and other activities.

Join Hives for Humanity and Vancouver Feminist Collective for a baked potato party and pop-up market. Meet your neighbours, enjoy a fully loaded baked potato, and stock up on honey, candles, and wax crafts made with community in the DTES.

On March 22, dine out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at participating restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and across the Lower Mainland. Enjoy some of the best dishes the region has to offer, while supporting people living with HIV/AIDS. Restaurant partners will contribute 25% of their food sales to A Loving Spoonful.
