Fan Expo Vancouver returns with special guest from original Star Trek
Oh my!
Fan Expo Vancouver, one of BC’s largest pop-culture events, will be making its annual return to the city in 2019 with special guest George Takei.
Takei is best known for his role as Hikaru Sulu, helmsman of the ‘USS Enterprise’ in the original Star Trek television, and in the Star Trek films.

Taking place from March 1 to 3, 2019, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, Fan Expo is a hot spot for all things sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and every genre in between.
Comic book fans, cosplayers, anime fans, and video game lovers can also check out the event to get their fill of the action.

Fans will also have the chance to join in on a photo-op and autograph signing session with Takei.
“We’re thrilled to have this show now take place in the spring, and excited to be able to welcome fans to come together again soon,” said Kandrix Foong, Managing Director of FAN EXPO HQ in Western Canada, in a release.
“George Takei is not only an iconic actor, but an extraordinary advocate for causes he believes in. I never miss a chance to catch his panels. You don’t need to be a Star Trek aficionado to appreciate his legacy or enjoy his incredible storytelling ability – we’re thrilled he’ll be joining us in March.”
