Corteo Cirque du Soleil

What: One of Cirque Du Soleil’s most-loved productions is coming to Vancouver this fall as part of its North American Tour. From October 10 to 14, 2018, Corteo will dazzle audiences at Pacific Coliseum. Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together theatrical acting and stunning acrobatics into a world of fun, comedy, and spontaneity.

What: An Arts Club Theatre Company production by Dorothy Dittrich. Erin, a concert pianist, hasn’t touched a piano since her husband died. As Elaine, a piano teacher, gently reacquaints Erin with her instrument, other life changes follow. A simple update to Erin’s home, for instance, brings the unexpected companionship of a contractor, Tom. Audience advisory: mature themes and strong language.

Spinosaurus exhibit at National Geographic’s Explorer’s Hall

What: Hear from your favourite explorers, scientists, and photographers, as they highlight key issues and help preserve the world’s natural environment while illustrating their talks with beautifully built visual presentations. The first show kicks off on Wednesday, October 10 with ‘Spinosaurus: Lost Giant of the Cretaceous’ hosted by paleontologist Nizar Ibrahim.

What: The Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series is hosting its Vancouver finale exhibition at Gallery Jones on East 1st Avenue. This year, 28 of Vancouver’s top emerging artists were selected from curators at Artsy to go on and compete in the regional competition. On October 10, you can see the best of Vancouver’s art scene and enjoy Bombay Sapphire cocktails creatively designed by Kevin Brownlee.
