An Evening With Gov’t Mule

  • What: From 2014 through 2016, the band delivered a series of archival releases celebrating its 20th Anniversary that achieved chart success across genres as Dub Side of the Mule went #1 for Reggae, Sco-Mule claimed #2 for Jazz, and Dark Side of Mule landed #10 for Rock. Along the way, their catalogue has impressively racked up 120 million-plus Pandora plays, over 60 million Spotify streams, 3 million downloads from their official website, and millions of album sales.

Kwantlen Street Farmers’ Market

  • What: The market offers a rotating selection of food trucks and carts, vendors with local produce, fresh Okanagan fruit, locally brewed beer and BC wines, SPCA certified chicken and eggs, freshly baked French breads and pastries, and natural soap and body care products. Kwantlen St. Farmers Market also features products grown and crafted by local farmers and artisans, highlighting KPU’s own Sustainable Agriculture students.

The Anxiety Show Episode 9

  • What: Each episode of The Anxiety Show features storytelling, standup, and variety-style comedy on a different mental health issue (or trigger) by booked comedians and open mic participants. Episode 9 features a variety of Vancouver Fringe performers. Hosted by Megan Phillips.

The Chilliwack Sunflower Festival

  • What: Stroll through more than five acres of sunflowers in bloom. On-leash pets will also be welcome, with a dedicated drinking area and complimentary pick-up bags on-site. Attractions include a one-acre show garden with 15 varieties of sunflowers three-acres filled with giant sunflowers, photo-ops with swing sets, lawn games, local food trucks and more.

Patterns of Our Land – Opening Reception

  • What: The opening reception to  Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki’s Patterns of Our Land, featuring orginal landscape paintings by the Canadian artist. Everyone is welcome.

  • What: Summer in the Square series features local artists who will regale and entertain in Norman MacKenzie Square through the warm summer months. Grab a beer at BierCraft or a refreshing iced drink from Blenz and sit out on their patios, or take a seat in Norman MacKenzie Square, and enjoy the performances.
