What: 2018 marks the 35th anniversary of the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic and to celebrate, will be held over two days for the first time. The expanded format of Canada’s longest running track meet will see the annual event be held in conjunction with the Team Sprint Challenge, a ten-event dual meet between the fastest sprinters from Canada and China.

What: I Am Not A Girl is the story of Erica, born into a large family in the 1970’s who questions who she is, including her gender. The journey of self-discovery takes her through a world of drugs, lesbian encounters, failed relationships, and finally the revelation that Erica can transition to become fully male. With this promise and the incredible loving support of her Mother, Erica faces the gauntlet of the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual challenges of becoming Eric.

What: Sons of Kemet is led by UK saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings to create a unique sound. The band has been known to blur the lines between genres, with music that can be classified as everything from rock to jazz to Afrofuturist.
What: Get ready to #SavetheRio with a special screening of the upcoming Freaks and Geeks: The Documentary, featuring a live Sype Q&A with the film’s director Brent Hodge, a special pre-recorded message from Seth Rogan, and more surprises.
