The House of Yes

  • What: The House of Yes is a stylish, independent production put on by a first-time director, Missy Cross, who also performs in the play. Described as a mashup of The Addams Family and Long Day’s Journey into Night, this black comedy will delve into a dysfunctional family’s ultimate need for love and connection.

Mako

  • What: Electronic dance musician Mako from Los Angeles brings the Breathe tour to Vancouver. Featuring special guests Night Lights.

Motown The Musical

  • What: ​The abridged history of Motown is brought to life through this Broadway musical, featuring label icons like Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson. Featuring a total of 66 songs from the era, Motown is not only one man’s legacy (the musical based on founder Berry Gordy’s autobiography), but the triumph of African-American music and artists through the historic record label.

Steve Newton Book Signing

  • What: Join local rock journalist and longtime Tragically Hip fan, Steve Newton as he signs copies of Gord Downie – an essential keepsake containing more than 175 color photographs and reproductions of rare memorabilia. This is the first fully illustrated, comprehensive book paying tribute to Gord Downie and the Tragically Hip.
