What: Borrow a ‘human book’ from a curated collection of topics such as: recovering hoarder, battered woman and same-sex marriage warrior. The 20-minute one-on-one conversations take you on a personal journey with personal stories.
Where: Vancouver Public Library – 350 West Georgia Street
What: Melody of China showcases many traditional instruments which are part of the marrow of Chinese cultural expression. This performance blends popular classics with lively pieces which are of precise regional origin. Partial proceeds from the event, as well as all proceeds from pre-event cocktail party and silent auction, will be donated to the Red Cross.
