Bright Nights at Stanley Park 2018

What: Beginning on November 29, over three million dazzling lights decorate acres of the dark forest, reaching as high as the forest canopy for Bright Nights in Stanley Park. The attraction in the heart of the park is also accompanied by a train ride, music, snacks, entertainment, and even visits with Santa and his elves. The annual tradition, now in its 21st year, is operated and installed by 800 firefighters – it is a task that requires 8,000 hours of set-up over three months. Bright Nights attracts 200,000 visitors every year, with all proceeds benefiting the Burn Fund, which provides life-saving, life supporting and life enriching services to people in BC.

The Washboard Union

Bumble Vancouver Hive

What: Join in on the ultimate live dating and networking experience when Bumble brings their Hive pop-up to Vancouver. Taking place at Indigo Robson, Vancouver Hive will allow for Bumble users to meet new matches in person and connect with their community. The three-day event will also feature panellists, workshops, meditation sessions, jewellery making, and tarot card reading. There is no RSVP necessary and workshops and panels are first come, first serve.

The Fifth Annual Vancouver UX Awards

What: Vancouver’s best and brightest in user experience and design will be celebrated at the annual UX Awards. The event is an opportunity to showcase anyone who works in the industry, from startups, freelancers, agencies, and user-centric enterprises, and showcase the work and experiences they create. Everyone is welcome to the awards night.

Water St. Cafe 30th Birthday Gala

What: Eli, Chef Alan, and the Water Street Cafe team will be celebrating their big milestone throughout the month of November, and they want to share that excitement with you. Chef Alan has also created a special ‘blast from the past’ menu that will available throughout November so that you can enjoy some of the most popular dishes from the past three decades.
