Free outdoor movies at Canada Place (Port Metro Vancouver)

  • What: Enjoy Coco on a large inflatable screen under the stars, all with the North Shore mountains in the background. To give your night two thumbs up, do yourself a favour and bring a lawn chair (or you’ll be sitting on the hard ground) and jackets and/or blankets (it gets cold). And keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event so neither smoking nor alcohol are permitted.

From Where We Stand: Artist Talk & Tour

  • What: Join 13 Feet off the Ground Collective for an artist talk and tour of their exhibition From Where We Stand, on display at the Port Moody Arts Centre from July 12 to August 6. 2018. The evening will include a slide show featuring the collective’s mural work in Sicily and also includes a talk and tour through their exhibition of current work produced following the residency in Sicily last fall.

  • What: Get to know your neighbours at this free family event held at various Coquitlam park locations throughout the summer, with kids’ games, family activities, and light refreshments. Be a part of building relationships, promoting neighbourhood safety and creating a sense of community, while getting out to meet your neighbours and having fun.

Science World After Dark

  • What: Unleash your inner storyteller at the next Science World After Dark as you discover the science behind animation with the new feature exhibition, The Science Behind Pixar. Professional animators from the Vancouver Film School will also be on hand to guide guests through the process of creating an animated character from scratch, including illustration, movement, personality, and voice.

AIBC Architectural Walking Tours

  • What: Through its summer walking tour program, the AIBC offers architectural perspectives of six Vancouver neighbourhoods.
