Slide The City North Vancouver 2018

Slide The City/Ken Chan (Daily Hive)

  • What: The 1,000-foot-long slip-and-slide will be returning to Lower Lonsdale. Using inner tubes, sliders go down the hill along a four-block-long stretch of Lonsdale Avenue from Victoria Park to 4th Street, where there is a large finish line splash pool. Thousands of others will also be along the sidelines and at the finish line to watch sliders go down the roadway at speeds of up to 15 km/h. Parking for the event will be limited, so biking, walking, or transit is encouraged.

Surrey Fusion Festival

  • What: The two-day festival brings together over 45 cultural and community groups from around the world and more than 150 artists and performers. Live entertainment, food pavilions and interactive cultural activities will keep you busy throughout the weekend.
