  • What: The former White Stripes frontman will be taking to the stage at Rogers Arena on August 12 as part of his Boarding House Reach world tour. Boarding House Reach is White’s third solo album.

Blueberry Festival

  • What: Blueberry Festival is the place for all lovers of the delicious, local fruit. Sample the best blueberry products Coquitlam Farmers Market vendors have to offer and learn how to incorporate blueberries into your meals at the blueberry recipe demonstration tent with Karen Curtis.

Beach House

  • What: Baltimore dream pop band Beach House are coming to Vancouver this summer. The ‘Levitation’ duo (Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand) will be performing live at the Orpheum with special guests, as part of their massive 2018 world tour.

Abbotsford International Airshow 2018

  • What: Designated Canada’s National Airshow, Abbotsford is Canada’s premier aviation festival. Since 1962, millions of spectators have watched the finest civilian and military aerobatic performances in the world. People gather from around the globe to look to the skies in awe.

Vancouver Trolleybus Tour 2018

  • What: A 1954-built, CCF-Brill trolleybus returns for “fan trips” to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vancouver’s trolleybus system. Fares for the special anniversary trips on the vintage bus are $25 for an adult and $15 for a child, with proceeds going towards TSMV’s initiatives of maintaining and restoring heritage vehicles of the region’s transit system. However, it is important to note that the upcoming trips are not part of the regular transit service operated by TransLink.

Vancouver International Guitar Festival 2018

  • What: The two-day event celebrates and showcases the art and craft of the world’s finest acoustic and electric guitar makers. Master luthiers (makers of stringed instruments) from across Canada, the United States, and Europe will have an array of electrics, acoustics, ukeleles, and basses on display, as well as the ability to do custom commisions. Master classes will also take place throughout the weekend.

KitsFest

Music in the Square

  • What: Music in the Square features the finest professional musicians from across Metro Vancouver, playing a variety of genres including jazz, pop, rock, blues, folk, world fusion, and contemporary. This is a rain or shine event.

Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival 2018

  • What: The three-day free festival includes individual artists as well as organizational partners, workshops for artists and the public, and hundreds of artworks on display and for sale, alongside music, spoken word, live art, clown, and other performances in the Exhibition Hall.

Dueck on Marine Custom & Classic Car Show

  • What: Dueck’s largest Custom & Classic Car show is a fun day of great looking cars, prizes, awards, BBQ, and fun pictures to take home for registered vehicles. Everything is done by donation with all proceeds go to Special Olympics BC.
