Sea Otter Awareness Week at Vancouver Aquarium

  • What: Get to know the six resident rescued sea otters – Tanu, Katmai, Mak, Kunik, Rialto, and Hardy – and learn about these incredible species ambassadors as you take in special programs and activities.

Buffy Sainte-Marie: The Authorized Biography book launch

Coast Salish Blanket Workshop

  • What: Hosted by Chief Janice George and Buddy Joseph, this is an excellent opportunity to learn traditional Salish weaving skills from seasoned weavers. Participants will enjoy an introduction to the historical and cultural significance of Salish weaving techniques. Each participant will subsequently create a textile with loom techniques under the direction of the instructors and leave the workshop with their own textile. A light lunch will also be served. Limited to 20 spaces.

Vancouver Startup Week 2018

  • What: Vancouver Startup Week connects entrepreneurs, investors, community leaders, and friends to build momentum and opportunity. Vancouver Startup Week events are not organized by one central body, but instead by dozens of amazing community partners which in turn are supported by the non-profit Vancouver Startup Society. Last year brought together more than 3,000 people at over 70 events, including tech showcases, panel discussions, office visits, networking breakfasts, and investor lunches.
