What: The 2018 Hopscotch Festival will run between November 19 to 25 with events taking place in various locations across the city. One of the most exciting events happening during the festival is the Grand Tasting Hall, taking place from November 23 to 24 at the PNE Forum. Attendees will be able to peruse the 50,000-sq-ft venue and enjoy food, wine, music, and of course whisky and spirits too. The 23rd run of the spirited event will feature local food vendors including The Pawn Shop, Dixie’s BBQ, Juno Kim, and BKH along with 116+ beverage brands.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University Student Appreciation Comedy Night for Charity

What: Kwantlen Polytechnic University presents a Student Appreciation Comedy Night at Yuk Yuk’s Vancouver. The event will feature amateurs and headliner, Chris Gaskin. 100% of profits from ticket sales will be donated to Surrey Food Bank Society.

Scripting Aloud! reads Miss Hong Kong

What: Scripting Aloud opens their 2018-2019 reading season with a staged reading of Miss Hong Kong, an original feature-length screenplay by Scott Button and Agnes Tong. Both local writers will be in attendance, and reader casting will happen on the day (arrive early/on time).
