Brackendale Eagle Festival

  • What: The 32nd annual Brackendale Eagle Festival is a month-long celebration of eagles, featuring a special line-up of concerts, lecture series, art shows, group tours.

Michael D Hawley Photography Open House Showing

  • What: Taste some fine local beer and see the works of award-winning photographer Michael Hawley. Michael’s pinhole photography has been displayed at the Soho Gallery in New York and has won both Silver and Bronze Medals at the PX3 awards in Paris, one of Europe’s most established photography awards.

UBC Free Week

  • What: Looking to get fit and save some money in 2018? Why not skip the gym and try a new activity like street kickboxing or spin class? UBC is offering a jam-packed schedule of workout classes to returning students, staff, faculty, and the general public for no cost. There is no registration needed to participate. All you have to do is show up at the location of your classes 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis with priority given to those who have registered for the full program.

Winter Hiking/Snowshoe Orientation

  • What: Gary Baker with the Chilliwack Outdoor Club will display a range of appropriate winter hiking and snowshoeing clothing, equipment, and safety gear (discussing the pros and cons of each). Trip planning and safety protocols will also be discussed.

Free Intro to Belly Dance Class

Laugh Gallery at Havana

2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships

  • What: High-level figure skating is coming to Vancouver next week, with lots on the line. One month before the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, the Canadian National Skating Championships lands on the West Coast for the first time in 10 years. The week-long event will feature a number of world class skaters, including nine athletes who won an Olympic medal in Sochi four years ago.
