RILS Comedy Fundraiser

  • What: A stand-up comedy fundraiser for Residences for Independent Living Society, an organization that has provided accommodations to adults living with disabilities in Vancouver for nearly 50 years. Featuring Claire Pollock, Julia Stretch, Megan Milton, Andrew Vallance, Byron Bertram and Hayley Beamish with Jo Dworschak as MC and Katie Ellen Humphries as the headliner

  • What: The 2018 Odlum Brown VanOpen, a Tennis Canada Event, is the largest and most celebrated Men’s and Women’s professional tennis tournament in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. The tournament will showcase approximately 140 professional tennis stars from all over the world. This event has a combined purse of $200,000 USD, with $100,000 awarded to the men (ATP Challenger Tour) and $100,000 awarded to the women (ITF Pro Circuit).

  • What: Be part of a musical adventure celebrating nature, family, friends and more! Gina is a Juno-nominated children’s singer-songwriter who writes rollicking, roaring, and ridiculously catchy songs for the whole family to sing together.

Kits in the Park

  • What: A free play-based program in Connaught Park (just behind Kits CC) running on Monday and Friday mornings throughout the summer. Playground, crafts, songs and stories, perfect for families with young children. No registration necessary, this program is co-operatively presented by Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, West Side Family Place, and Kitsilano Community Centre.

Lunch & Lyrics

  • What: Surrey Civic Plaza’s new Lunch & Lyrics acoustic concert series features a new acoustic musical act every Monday in the summer. Each week will also feature a different food truck.

Sweetology

  • What: Make an array of desserts for this summer season. A fundraiser for Neighbourhood Youth Initiative.
