Autumn has arrived in Vancouver and fun events are happening all over the city this season. From the Vancouver International Film Festival to Drake, Halloween to Remembrance Day, here are 101 Vancouver fall events you need to check out.

The 2nd Annual Raincouver Umbrella Party

  • What: Hosted by Party4Health and Soundboks, organizers are planning for the “rainiest, outdoor urban dance party in history,” bringing hundreds of attendees together in the process. The event takes place on Friday, September 21, on the International Day of Peace, and looks to raise awareness for mental health. The evening will host events such as umbrella limbo, rain dances, umbrella sword fighting, LED skip rope, line dancing, and bear hugs. Attendance is by donation and the event coincides with a city-wide dance party that takes place later that evening.

Rainforest by Night

Olde Harvest Fair

  • What: Celebrate the harvest with food, neighbourly competitions and music. While the kids play in the hay, enjoy local vendors and artisans, live music and dancing, warm apple cider, performances by The Re-Enactors, tours of the 1894 farmhouse, and more.

  • What: An epic night of yoga, beers, and live music at the lululemon SeaWheeze Sunset Festival. The popular festival takes place in Vancouver’s beautiful Stanley Park, and internationally-acclaimed DJ and producer, Diplo, will be headlining the festival. Local DJ and producer, and JUNO nominee, Felix Cartal will warm up the crowd to kick off the dance party. Festival-goers can take part in an all-level sunset yoga practice, visit the local artisan market, and enjoy food and beverages from local purveyors. The festival kicks off following lululemon’s popular SeaWheeze half marathon (registration for the run is now closed).

World Rivers Day – Watershed Tour

  • What: Through games and activities, explore big concepts in some of the most beautiful parts of the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. Take a trip over the Seymour Falls Dam on a magic school bus and walk along the lower river through beautiful trails.

Mat Collective Free Fall Yoga

  • What: Take advantage of Vancouver’s beautiful autumn days and take part in free fall yoga, hosted by the Mat Collective. Fall classes will take place in September, October, and November at City Hall, in downtown Vancouver, Granville Island, and Kits Beach.

Goat Yoga at Maplewood Farms

  • What: Maplewood Farms will be hosting 9 am weekend goat yoga classes taught by Kelli Sroka. Classes will take place on a grassy paddock. Guests should bring their own yoga mats and don’t wear designer gear as it’s going to get a bit muddy with the grass and goats. Selfies with the goats are encouraged so get ready to strike a pose. And if you need some new threads for those photos, goat yoga t-shirts are available to purchase online.

UNIQLO & GO Mobile Pop-Up

  • What: Not only is Metro Vancouver getting a new UNIQLO location this fall, the city is also getting a pop-up of the clothing brand. Fans of the Japanese clothing store will have another place to shop in Vancouver when UNIQLO opens an immersive pop-up shop downtown. According to UNIQLO, guests will be able to e-commerce themselves and ‘step into’ the newly launched app/mobile e-commerce site, preview the F/W18 collection and make on-site purchases via the Mobile Site. Bacio Rosso: Gourmet Cabaret Cirque 2018

Maan Farms Haunted Corn Maze

  • What: The 5th annual Vancouver Halloween Parade and Expo is a festival inspired by comics, anime, video games and mythologies from various cultures. Attracting more than 100,000 spectators, the parade turns downtown Vancouver into the world’s largest cosplay stage with floats, marching bands and special effects.

National Geographic: Symphony for our World

  • What: The event pairs the stunning visual footage of National Geographic with an original symphony composed by Emmy and BAFTA-nominated Bleeding Fingers Music. The result is a spectacular show of natural history combined with compositions performed live by a full-size orchestra and choir. National Geographic describes the show as a five-part composition that brings viewers from “the depths of the sea, up to coastlines, over mountains, and soaring into the sky.”

Tenacious D

  • What: The musical comedy duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass will be taking over the Queen Elizabeth Theatre with guests, Wynchester. The band had a variety series on HBO that aired in 1999. Their self-titled album was released in the fall of 2001 with Epic Records and was quickly certified at gold-selling status, and has since been certified platinum. In 2014, Tenacious D won a Grammy in the category of Best Metal Performance for their cover of Ronnie James Dio’s “The Last In Line.”
