How many years have you been performing stand-up?

Either 11 years or six years. I got on stage for the first time in 2005, but didn’t really start doing it more than 3-4 times a year until 2010.

What is the best crowd reaction you have ever had to one of your jokes?

I did a bit that was so funny the crowd leapt to their feet, clapping, cheering and openly weeping at the beauty that is a Kevin Banner joke. I tried to continue with my set but they insisted on carrying me out of the building on their shoulders, directly to the Wendy’s Drive Through on Cambie and 8th. Then we all had spicy chicken burgers. That’s happened four times.

When you’re not performing stand-up, you can be found ____________?

Watching professional wrestling, like a grown up should. Either on TV or live in Vancouver at Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling or Wise Pro Wrestling. Vancouver has a great comedy scene and an equally awesome pro wrestling scene. We’re very lucky.

Daily Hive readers should vote for you as Sirius XM’s Top Comic because ____________?

They enjoyed my set the most. If not, vote for one of these other jerks. Also, if you prove that you voted for me, I’ll give you a back rub.

How many years have you been performing stand-up?

Long enough to have had a MySpace page.

How many years have you been performing stand-up?

Six years.

What is your favourite memory of performing comedy so far?

Asking the club manager of Laugh Shop in Calgary if I could sneak in and stand at the back of Doug Stanhope’s sold out show, and him saying yes. When I arrived I was told I would be doing 15 minutes of comedy before Doug, and then bringing him up on stage. And, of course, drinking 10,000 beers with Doug after the show.

When you’re not performing stand-up, you can be found ____________?

Following my heart and /or sleeping in a garage on an air mattress.

Daily Hive readers should vote for you as Sirius XM’s Top Comic because ____________?

Dreams come true! Each vote is equal to one unit of happiness in my heart.

What is a piece of advice you would give to a stand-up just getting started in the business?

Comedy is supposed to be fun! if you’re not having fun you should do something else.
