The upcoming The Experience // ARC photography seminar is extending the magic far past the meeting room walls. Their team has been relentless in crafting a memorable, shamelessly fun, one-of-a-kind event where you’ll discover bold new techniques from a variety of photography disciplines in a learning environment unlike anything else in Vancouver. You’ll leave feeling connected, supported, and energized as the newest member of their tribe of creative geniuses.

The event is more than taking incredible photos. Expect live music you can groove to, excursions to beautiful and unique locations in and around Vancouver, and hand-picked food trucks offering the best in local craft cuisine.

The ARC team put a city guide together for those looking to get an idea of what Vancouver is all about – and the types of shenanigans you can get up to while in town. Their City Guide features the best restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and breweries for you to try while you’re soaking up knowledge at The Experience – and by attending, you’ll get full access to it.

Created by local photographers, here’s a look at what you can expect in the guide:

Restaurants

Tacofino, Gastown

Tacofino has everyone covered. Want a quick burrito? Looking for a vibe plus tacos plus a full bar? This place pleases even Californian taste buds.

Bao Bei, Chinatown

Expensive, but absolutely some of the best cocktails and food (tapas style) in all of Vancouver, bring friends here – and come hungry.

Coffee shops

Birds and the Beets,  Gastown

A hangout spot for Gastown’s creatives, find salads and sandwiches inspired by pickled beets. Try the barley bowl with ramen eggs, and definitely add the pork shoulder.

Parallel 49, Mount Pleasant

Go here for the coffee, stay for the donuts.

Breweries

33 Acres, Mount Pleasant

Perfectly designed beer in a perfectly designed brewery, 33 Acres is for the hipster in all of you.

Strange Fellows, East Van

For the strange concoctions you wish you had thought of yourself.
