Back by popular demand, Chefs in the Hood returns to Vancouver on October 20.
This event, presented by Silverchef Canada and ONO Vancouver, will bring together the best of the city’s culinary talent in a collaborative dinner pop-up event.
Chefs from different neighbourhoods across Vancouver will represent their regions with various food stations, and we’ve got the highly-anticipated lineup to share with you.
One of the chefs participating this year will be Chef Alessandro Vianello of Gooseneck Hospitality (Lucky Taco, Wildebeest, Pizza Bufala, Bells and Whistles), he will be representing Gastown as his ‘hood.
Chef Vianello says attendees need to ensure they come hungry as he’ll be whipping up, “a variety of different delicious things from all over the city. I am making pan-roasted sweetbreads with mushroom ketchup, pickled grapes, roasted hazelnuts, and buttermilk gel.”
Vianello also notes that every chef involved in the event is able to choose their own adventure, leaving an air of mystery surrounding the menu, which will surely make things deliciously-interesting for patrons.
“We are kinda leaving it up to the chefs to represent their hood. I’m really looking forward to the surprise of what everyone is making,” says Vianello. “We know by selecting a diverse offering of chefs, we can all work together to create a dining experience that is diverse and creative.”
