Comforting, rich and delicious, there’s just nothing quite like a home-cooked meal.

Although we may not be lucky enough to have mom’s cooking every day, here are a few local spots serving up comforting dishes for $10 or less.

With a tagline that reads “food for comfort,” it only makes sense to kickoff our list with Burgoo. Warm up with one of their soup cups filled with flavours like carrot, tomato, mushroom, and crab bisque for $8.50 or less. If you’re looking for something a bit heavier, try their Spanish Meatballs for $9.
