Caribbean Days, the largest Vancouver Caribbean festival, returns to North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park from July 25 to July 26, lighting up the North Shore with food, song and dance.

The event was started in 1988 by the Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC as a way to present the vibrant cultural fabric of the island nations, and now draws over 50,000 people over the weekend’s events each year. For two days, the food, music, dances, stories and traditions of Trinidad & Tobago are on display for attendees/

The festival starts with a parade at 10 a.m., beginning at 6th Street & Lonsdale Avenue, ending at Waterfront Park and features floats and displays from a wide variety of performance, non-profit and cultural groups.

On the Tropical Rhythm Soundstage, Calypso, Reggae and Soca music will be performed by groups from around B.C.

No matter what you’re hoping to see, Caribbean Days has got you covered.
